Care Ministry

One of the hallmarks of any healthy congregation is the ability to care for one another. Care  takes many different forms in the life of a congregation. At Asbury we recognize that we live in an imperfect world and that there are times where we all need the added support and encouragement of community. While this community is a natural byproduct of our worship gatherings, ministry teams, and small groups, additional ministries are available for the seasons of life where additional care is required.

Asbury's Congregational Care Ministry Team is available to meet a variety of needs for those in Asbury's congregation. The team is made up of volunteer Congregational Care Ministers (CCMs) who work with the pastoral staff to address various care needs (hospital visitation, shut-in visitation, one on one care...) in ways that allow them to use their gifts, graces, and hearts of service in caring for the people of Asbury.

The opportunity to become a CCM is open to anyone at Asbury who has a heart of compassion, regardless of previous experience, so whether you are new to care ministry or have Stephen Ministry or other congregational care training, we would love to invite you to consider becoming a part of the team.

To apply to become a CCM, fill out the online CCM application. Once your application is received a training plan will be established. Our hope is that our CCM training will help team members feel prepared to serve while also giving us the opportunity to get to know team members better so that we can assign them to serve in places that best fit their personalities, experience, and availability. If you would prefer to receive a physical copy or downloadable file of the application, contact Pastor Matt.
