Announcements


There are a number of ways to connect with the mission and vision of Asbury UMC through various service opportunities, special events, and missions projects. Below, you will find some of the current announcements and a calendar of events for things going on in and through the ministry of Asbury.

  • MMDC Rice Meal Packing Service Project

    Join us on Sunday, September 15 from 9:00 to 11:30 a.m. for a service project in the Asbury Fellowship Hall. We will be packing rice meals for Midwest Mission Distribution Center to be distributed to places of natural disaster and food insecurity. There is no need to sign up, simply show up for instructions and pack meals for as long as you’re able. This is a service project for all ages and our goal is to pack 1,200 rice meal packs, so your help is greatly appreciated.

  • Youth Night at Heartland corn maze

    All youth are invited to a night of adventure with other youth groups at the Heartland Country Corn Maze on Wednesday, September 25 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Event is free to students. Meet at Asbury at 6:00 p.m. and we will carpool together.

     

  • Wednesday Nights at Asbury

    Join us on Wednesday nights at Asbury for discipleship ministries for children, youth, and adults! Activities start at 6:00 p.m. with the following schedule:


    Children's Ministry:

    6:00-6:45- Joysingers Choir (ages Kindergarten through 5th Grade)

    6:45-7:30- sprouts (Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd grade) and SpArK! (3rd, 4th and 5th grade) 


    Youth Ministry: 

    6:00-8:00- Middle and High School Youth Groups


    Adult Ministries;

    6:00-7:00- "A Guide to Prayer for All God's People" Small Group, Asbury Library

    7:00-8:00- Adult Choir

  • Adult Small Group- Room 106

    Sundays at 10:15 a.m., the Room 106 Adult Small Group will start their study Context: Putting Scripture in Its Place by Josh Scott. Context looks at Bible verses and stories which are familiar but we may not know the people, places, and times that give them meaning. Context will help us discover fresh and enlightening interpretations that are often missed when scriptures are taken out of context. This is a book and DVD study that will be lead by Al Herrboldt

  • Caring Connections—Fellowship For Women Of All Ages

    Looking for a group of ladies to develop relationships with, share life joys and struggles, deepen your faith, and laugh with? Then this is the place for you! Intentionally designed to be enjoyable whether you attend each week or pop in when your schedule allows. We hope you'll join us in the Library! You'll be blessed! This group meets on Sundays  at 10:15 a.m. in the Asbury Library. 

  • Monday Morning Small Group

    Mondays at 10:15 a.m. in the Hospitality Room there will be a study of "Sermon On the Mount: A Beginner's Guide to the Kingdom of Heaven" by Amy-Jill Levine. This group is led by Cindy Nelson.

  • Asbury's Farmer's Market

    Drop off any extra produce that you might have from home or pick up something to enjoy from the Asbury Farmer's Market table in the Hospitality Room at the church. Items are available for a freewill offering that will benefit Asbury's MMDC rice meal packing event on September 15.

  • 2024 Camp Registration is open!

    At Asbury, we believe there are great opportunities to have life-changing experiences with Jesus at camp. There are a variety of camps available for all ages and interests through our Dakotas Conference Camps with more information available here. 


    Asbury is also committed to investing in those wishing to attend camp by providing camp scholarships covering 1/2 of the early bird registration. When registering, simply use Asbury's church code 120181CA. If you have any additional questions about scholarships, click here! An additional 10% discount is available to anyone who has not attended a camp in the last three years.

  • Asbury Facebook campus

    We're excited to invite you to join Asbury's Facebook Campus, Asbury's primary hub for online ministry, where you will find things like staff check-ins, Wednesday Worship, volunteer resources, Bible studies, and much, much more. 


    Joining the Asbury Facebook Campus will ensure that you encounter opportunities to experience life-change with Christ by loving and accepting all, nurturing your discipleship, and serving others no matter where you are joining us from.   • Serve at Asbury!

    There are a number of ways to experience life-change with Christ by serving others at Asbury by getting involved in one of Asbury's Ministry Teams! Opportunities involve hospitality ministries such as ushers and greeters, music ministries, discipleship ministries, digital ministries, online service hosts, and more. If you're curious about volunteer opportunities or would like to get involved, checkout our online serve card today!

  • All Church Charge Conference

    Asbury's 2023 All-Church Charge Conference was held on Sunday, November 19 in the Asbury Sanctuary. It was facilitated by District Superintendent Rebecca Trefz and a recording of the session can be found on the Asbury Facebook Campus or on Asbury's Vimeo page.
