Asbury Film Festival
Invite a friend to our summer series “Asbury Film Festival” where we look for God at the movies. We will examine practical life lessons and Biblical principles through the lens of a different film each week. The series begins on Sunday, July 20, and will run for five weeks. We will show each movie in the Sanctuary on Wednesday night at 6:30 p.m. prior to our Sunday sermon – with the exception of our first film which will be shown Thursday, July 17.
We have a unique opportunity in week three. The director of Lost on a Mountain in Maine, Andrew Kightlinger, will share the message. Andrew is originally from Pierre, SD and a graduate of Augustana University. You will not want to miss out! Invite a friend!
It is not necessary to view the movies in order to appreciate the sermons, but you may find it helpful and enjoyable. WARNING: Please pay attention to the ratings. Not all the movies are appropriate for children – and some adults may find some of the language and situations offensive. View at your discretion.

Why movies? Movies have a way of communicating unlike any other art form. In them, we find some powerful, provocative, touching stories of human life. And whether filmmakers intend it or not, God’s fingerprints can be found all over the stories. God is everywhere! So, we’ll take a few films and look at how we can find God in the movies.
Join us for the movie nights! Join us for worship! This is a great opportunity to invite a friend or neighbor!
