Women
Let’s Get Together
Our theme for 2010 is “Let’s Get Together.” Our God is a community-making God and our mission together as members of United Methodist Women (UMW) is creating beloved communitites with women, children and youth. “Let’s Get Together” calls each of us to be more authentic in this effort. Women in the United Methodist Church come from different ethnicities, age groups, cultural backgrounds, economic situations, education levels, family makeups and parts of the world. United Methodist Women is no different. We invite each of you to join us, “come together”, in our rich diversity so that we may continue our expansion of our mission work and community.

COMFORTERS & LAYETTES
Thanks to a supportive congregation, we sent 41 complete layettes to the Tree of Life this past week, along with 120 other blankets, comforters and miscellaneous supplies. So far in 2006, we have sent approximately 120 layettes and more than 400 blankets to TOL. Layettes (baby kits) are distributed by nurse-midwives based on need. Blankets are also provided in nursing homes, day care centers and to people with special needs.
