Announcements

Sidewalk Repair Update – We Made It!!!
Thanks to the generosity of the Asbury family we have $13,463 in the fund to replace our sidewalk. That is $463 more than we need. We will put the rest to good use. Our contractor started working on the sidewalk on Friday, May 11 and when you read this he will be well on the way to completing our project. Thank you! The Trustees

Thank You to Those That Volunteered Outside!
We want to celebrate the many hands that have volunteered to get things done outside. Patti Roberts and John Mills weeded the landscaping by the sign on 31st and Western. Dalrene Hardick did weeding outside the Western Ave. entrance. Dale Nesheim sprayed for weeds in all of the rock landscaping. The chain link fence south of the church has been weeded and you can see the hostas and day lilies now. Scott Henderson and Josh Karpinen have taken up the asphalt path north of the church and we await new dirt and grass seed to improve that area. Thank you, the Trustees.

Serve the Sunday Night Watch Canteen
The next opportunities to serve the canteen are June 24 and August 12. If you are interested in serving or have questions, please contact Al Herrboldt at 361-3654 or amherrb@knology.net.

Still Time to Register for Summer Church Camp

During worship on Sunday, March 18, the Asbury congregation was reminded that God has given all Christians spiritual gifts. Spiritual gifts are special abilities given to every Christian, by the grace of God, through the Holy Spirit, to be used to serve and strengthen one another, and to glorify God. Spiritual gifts are not to build up ourselves, but to serve God and others. Check out this simple online assessment to help discover your own spiritual gifts – “Spiritual Gifts Assessment“. It only takes about three minutes to complete. What gifts have you been given by God? Where is God calling you to serve?
