ASBURY UMC MEMBER LOAN PROGRAM
The Asbury UMC fundraising committee has been working hard over the past year to find ways and to organize activities to help reduce and eliminate our outstanding capital loan. One of the suggestions of several members of the committee and other congregation members was to develop a program that would give members an opportunity to “invest” in the financial health of the Church. After much research and discussion, the Stewardship/Finance Committee has developed the Asbury UMC Member Loan Program.
The Asbury Member Loan Program is an opportunity for members of Asbury United Methodist Church in Sioux Falls to make a personal loan or loan(s) to the Church in order to reduce or retire a capital improvement project loan which has a balance of $93,630 (January 16, 2012.)
If you are interested in more information on this program, please pick up an information sheet in the Hospitality Room or in the office. If you have questions or would like to participate in the program, please see Greg Robinson, Chairperson Stewardship/Finance Committee or Lee Johnson, Treasurer.

Offering Envelopes for 2012
Since more and more Asbury UMC members have discovered the ease of electronic giving we had a surplus of offering envelopes in 2011. The Stewardship and Finance Committee made the decision to save money and not order new offering envelopes for 2012. Any members who would like to change to electronic giving can email Financial Secretary Sarah Wagenaar at accounting@sfasbury.org, who will send you a card to sign up for that option. Those members who would prefer to use an offering envelope can stop in the church office and pick up envelopes which are dated for 2011 but can certainly be used for 2012.
