We hear the phrase “Fake News” thrown around a lot in newspapers, television, and social media. It’s hard to know what to believe in today’s world.
Do you ever pay attention to the “Fake News” related to the Bible? There are a lot of things we hear said that sound as if they come from God’s Word and yet are not actually in the Bible. There are familiar statements made that we hear which we accept at face value as believers that may not be entirely true. In fact, some are provably false. Yet, they have enormous traction in the culture, and are repeated by millions of people. “Fake News.”
During November, we’re going to cut through some biblical “Fake News” and seek the truth. Our topics will include:
November 4 – ”Everything happens for a reason.”
November 11 – “Love the sinner, hate the sin.”
November 18 – “God helps those who help themselves.”
November 25 – “God said it. I believe it. That settles it.”
We would be honored to worship with you!
