Youth Ministry

At Asbury, we want to create a safe environment where youth can come and explore how God is working in their lives and in the world around them. We have a variety of ways that Youth can get connected at church and be a part of our community.

To get involved, please fill out the Youth Permissions Form and return it to one of our Youth Leaders.

Youth Group

Asbury's Wednesday night Youth Group meets from September to May beginning at 6:15 p.m. with an hour of Food and Fun. At 7:15 p.m. we divide into Middle School and High School groups for relevant discussions about living a faith-filled life. All Wednesday Youth Activities end at 8:15 p.m. and all are welcome!

Sunday Mornings

On Sunday mornings, youth of all ages can be involved in Sunday School at Asbury.  Classes meet from 10:15-11:15 a.m. during the school year (September-May).

Middle School Sunday School  (grades 6 and 7)

Middle School Sunday School meets downstairs in Room 006.

The purpose of this class is to allow students to dig deeper into the bible and look into how we can apply what we learn in the Bible to our lives as Christians today. Students in this class watch videos, do projects, have discussions, and participate in various activities together.

Confirmation Classes (grade 8)

The Confirmation Class meets on Sunday mornings in Room 005.

Confirmation is a decision making process for youth to respond to God’s grace with intentional commitment by publicly confirming the baptismal vows that were made on their behalf at the time of their baptism before the congregation. Here at Asbury, we encourage our students to take part in our confirmation classes in order to take ownership of their faith and to grow in their understanding of God, themselves, and spiritual community. Students who take part in confirmations will be expected to attend weekly classes, and participate in retreats and service projects. They will study the Christian faith and applying what they learn to real life situations. This experience will help guide students along their faith journey and give them an opportunity to think about where God is calling them in the world as disciples of Jesus Christ.

B&G (Bagels and God) (grades 9-12)

B&G meets at area coffee shops where youth talk about how faith intersects with current events in real and meaningful ways.  If you would like a ride, you can meet at the lower entrance by 10:15 am on Sunday mornings.
